I vote for all-vacation, all the time! But if forced to choose, I’d call staying near home and exploring what draws visitors to your area a “staycation,” whether you’re sleeping in your own bed or not. A more traditional vacation involves travel outside your immediate area. And as long as you love your work, I guess it doesn’t diminish either one if you do a little while on ‘cation.
